The Connecticut Chapter of the ACS Professional Association, and the Connecticut Surgical Quality Collaborative are pleased to announce their 2022 Combined Annual Meeting which will be held on Friday, October 28th, 2022, at the Trumbull Marriott.
We are proud to host one of the largest and most successful Chapter Annual Meetings across the entire American College of Surgeons. We welcome over 200 surgeons, program chairs, program directors, surgical residents, and medical students together for a full day of continuing education and fellowship.
The meeting lectures focus on current topics in surgery that are important to surgeons in Connecticut. This year we are looking at Patient Centered Care through the lenses of DEI, Quality Improvement and Palliative Care. We feature a mid-morning break and a networking lunch in the exhibit room. The day features the resident paper competitions on topics and cases that cover the full span of surgical specialties. The day continues with a lecture for residents and closes with the Surgical Skills Competition. Created in Connecticut, this 2-hour competition allows residents from Connecticut’s surgical residencies to compete against each other in a series of events designed to test their skills using new technology provided by our industry partners.
Exhibitors are encouraged to setup by 7:30am so they can interact with attendees during the continental breakfast, morning break and buffet lunch, all of which are held in the exhibit area. Standard exhibits close down at the end of lunch. Skills Competition exhibits are reconfigured for the event after lunch.

Based on new ACCME regulations we have split participation for the Skills Competition into two separate items, an exhibit table and a skills competition commercial support option that requires the completion of a Commercial Support LOA to allow us to award CME credits for the competition. Please select both options when registering if you wish to participate in the Skills Competition.

PLATINUM EXHIBITORS – Contributions of $5,000 or more In addition to the recognition noted above, PLATINUM supporters receive a full-page ad space in the conference program book. Back cover or inside front cover, first come, first choice and recognition on the Chapter’s website. PLATINUM supporters will also be recognized at the at the Chapter Business Meeting.
GOLD EXHIBITORS – Contributions of $2,500 or more, not including surgical skills competition supporters: In addition to the recognition noted above, GOLD supporters receive a single page ad space in the conference program book and recognition on the Chapter’s website. GOLD supporters will also be recognized at the at the Chapter Business Meeting.
GENERAL CONFERENCE PROMOTER – $500
Special recognition via logo on signage in the registration area.
CONFERENCE PROGRAM BOOKLET – $1,500 – two available
Recognition via a full-page ad in delegate program booklet placed opposite page one of the meeting agenda. (Commitment and print-ready logo and artwork required by 09/24/22)
All firms are encouraged to secure exhibit space for face-to-face access to participants. The Chapter invites our exhibitors and supporters to provide prizes for special drawings held in the exhibit area if they wish to add additional visibility to their support and exhibit package. Prize acceptance is subject to prior approval from the Chapter.
Additional Support Opportunities
There are further ways to support the 2022 Annual Meeting. Commercial support (see ACCME Standard 4 for more information) allows for the companies to defray or eliminate the cost of the activity for all learners. Supporters will be acknowledged by name and nature of support. prior to the learners engaging in the education. Disclosure will not include the ineligible companies’ corporate or product logos, trade names, or product group messages.
Based on new ACCME standards, these opportunities require the completion of a Commercial Support Letter of Agreement which can be downloaded here.
Resident Surgical Skill Competition – $1,250
• A station, developed in conjunction with the Program Committee, at the Skills Competition
• Interaction with surgical residents from all the programs in the state
• Four complimentary passes to the Surgical Skills Competition
• Special meeting signage
• As part of the fee, your firm agrees to provide equipment and supplies. These tables are limited in supply and offered at the sole discretion of the Chapter.
